Our Story
Detailing Tips
Step 1
Use the two bucket system to prevent scratches. Fill two buckets with water. Place approximately one to two caps full of Killerwaxx Crystal blue car wash into one bucket. I recommend using a micro fiber wash sponge or mitt. Dip your sponge into the soap bucket and start at the top of your vehicle and work your way down. When you run out of soapy water in your sponge, rinse it out in the clean water bucket then re-dip the sponge into the soap bucket and continue washing your vehicle. Repeat and rinse soap and dry vehicle with a micro fiber towel.
Step 2
I always recommend using a clay bar before waxing to remove any old wax and contaminate which includes road tar, brake dust, bugs, over spray etc. that gets stuck in your clear coat to insure you are waxing a totally clean surface which will in turn allow the carnauba wax to bond with the clear coat. We recommend a 160/200 gram clay bar. You can find a good clay bar at an automotive paint and supply store. Using crystal blue car wash soap in a spray bottle mixed with water or Killerwaxx Pin stripe pink instant detail spray as a lubricant for the clay bar. Spray it on the surface of the vehicle, working on a panel at a time. Work your clay bar in a up and down or side to side motion, using your spray as lubricant. Fold and knead your clay as often as needed when contaminates appear on your clay bar from the panel you are working on. After removing contaminates from surface use your lubricant and spray the panel and wipe clean with a micro fiber towel. Repeat this process till your vehicle paint has all been clay bared.
Step 3
Repeat step 1.
Step 4
Apply purple glaze cream wax which contains light oxidation and swirl mark removers and a carnauba wax easy on, easy off. Working in panels, apply cream wax to a round micro fiber pad applicator. Work the cream wax in an up and down or side to side motion. Let it haze up. Fold a micro fiber towel in a square and spray some pin stripe pink instant detailer on the side you are going to use to remove the wax. This allows you to leave more wax on the surface of the paint. Repeat process till you are done waxing the vehicle.
Step 5
Apply Killerwaxx paste wax which is Grade#1 Brazilian Carnauba wax and is 100% pure. Using a micro fiber pad apply paste wax to the vehicle working in panels in an up and down or side to side motion. Killerwaxx paste wax will apply like butter. A little bit goes a long way. Let it haze up. Fold a micro fiber towel in a square and spray some pin stripe pink instant Detailer on the side you are going to use to remove the wax. This allows you to leave more wax on the surface of the paint. Repeat process till you are done waxing the vehicle.
Step 6
Clean windows with Killerwaxx Extreme window cleaner. Spray window clear on window and wipe clean with a clean micro fiber towel.
Step 7
Apply Rubber and Vinyl Pro to Tires, dashes, leather seats, body trim, and bumpers. Use a micro fiber pad applicator to apply. Use a separate pad for tires. It will leave you with a nice shine, and non-greasy surface.
Step 8
Use Killerwaxx Metal Polish on wheels, chrome trim, any metal on your vehicle can be polished with killer shine. Apply metal polish to a terry cloth or micro fiber towel and rub it on the metal surface. On aluminum surfaces the towel will turn black, with chrome it will turn grey. Use a separate towel to remove metal polish and buff off to a killer shine. A cloth polishing ball can be used as well, which can be purchased at auto paint and supply store.
